Similar raids conducted at residences of eight more officers across the State
Mandya/Bengaluru: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths have raided the residences of nine officials across the State, including the residence of Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) T. Venkatesh at Mandya yesterday.
The Mandya ACB sleuths, led by ACB Dy.SP Dharmendra, who knocked on the doors of DCF (Social Forest Department) T. Venkatesh at Subash Nagar in the town, have collected documents pertaining to cash, gold and silver jewellery and properties.
The raids were conducted simultaneously on the DCF’s house and office, following complaints lodged against the forest officer under Anti Corruption Act pertaining to amassing illegal wealth and property.
In similar raids, ACB officials yesterday also raided residences of eight other officers across the State on charges of amassing illegal property. Sources said that raids were conducted simultaneously at many places including Bengaluru, Davangere, Kolar, Shivamogga, Mangaluru, Udupi and Bidar.
A total of 300 ACB officers raided 40 places including KRID CL – Bengaluru Chief Engineer R.B. Kulkarni, Mangalore Urban Development Unit Executive Engineer G. Sridhar, Herbal Planning Malur Assistant Director H.R. Krishnappa, Rural Development Bidar Junior Engineer Suresh Mohare and KRID S. Krishna, Executive Engineer, CL Udupi Division among others.
Authorities have also raided the residence and office of Krishnamurthy, Electrical Inspector Bellary, Vijay Kumar, Inspector of Senior Motor Vehicles in Bengaluru and AEE Mallikarjun, Bengaluru.
