Accident on T. Narasipur Road: Lorry driver loses leg, 30 bus passengers injured

Mysuru: Lorry driver lost his leg when his vehicle collided head-on against a private bus on the T. Narasipur Road this morning.

Over 30 passengers of a bus were also injured. The bus was travelling towards Mysuru near the Big Banyan Tree at Chikkahalli on T. Narasipur Road.

The accident occurred when the bus (KA-55 A-9090) tried to overtake a goods auto rickshaw and hit a lorry, carrying construction stones. The lorry was travelling towards T. Narasipur.

Around 30 passengers of the bus, who were injured, were shifted to K.R. Hospital, JSS Hospital and Cauvery Hospital.  A few of the injured were treated as out-patients while some of them were admitted.

Siddhartha Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, seized both the vehicles and are investigating.
