Mysuru: A youth who was being treated at a city hospital for injuries sustained in a road accident more than six months ago, breathed his last in the hospital yesterday.
The deceased youth has been identified as Arun Kumar (23), who owned a photo studio at Yelandur in Chamarajanagar district.
Arun Kumar and his friend Rakesh were coming to Mysuru from Yelandur travelling on a motorcycle on Nov.23, 2016 when their motorcycle was knocked down by a Bolero jeep near Megalapura on Mysuru-T. Narasipur Road.
While Rakesh, who was riding pillion, died on the spot, Arun Kumar sustained serious head and spinal injuries following which he was rushed to K.R. Hospital and then shifted to Mission Hospital from where he was discharged a couple of months ago.
As his condition did not improve, Arun Kumar was re-admitted to K.R. Hospital on May 9, where he breathed his last yesterday, it is learnt.
The Mysuru South Police have registered a case in this regard.
