Accident victims succumb to injuries at hospitals

Srirangapatna: Two persons, who had sustained injuries in separate road accidents and admitted to private hospitals in Mysuru, have succumbed to injuries at the hospitals.

In the first case, Venkatesh (70), a resident of Naguvanahalli village, who had sustained serious injuries in a road accident about five days ago and admitted to a private hospital in Mysuru, has succumbed to injuries at the hospital yesterday.

The deceased had served as the President of Srirangapatna TAPCMS, Director of Mandya DCC Bank and was the JD(S) President for many years.

Last rites were held at Naguvanahalli village this morning.

In the second case, Srinivasa Prasanna (55), son of Venu Gopalashastry and a resident of Kumbarageri in the town, who had sustained serious injuries after his scooter was hit by a bike, opposite Sai Baba Ashrama near the town on Wednesday, has succumbed to injuries at a private hospital in Mysuru yesterday.

Srinivasa, a purohit by profession, was returning home on his scooter on Wednesday evening, when a bike rammed into his scooter resulting in him sustaining serious injuries.

He was rushed to a private hospital in Mysuru, where he breathed his last, according to Police.
