Bengaluru: BJP National Organising General Secretary B.L. Santosh has asked the newly-elected office-bearers to act as a bridge between the Government and the people by undertaking a State-wide tour. At a meeting of General Secretaries and Chairmen of various Morchas of the State unit held here on Sunday, he is learnt to have instructed the newly elected office-bearers not to be complacent but to strive for strengthening the party across the State.
They need to inform people regarding the new schemes announced by BJP-led NDA Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and B.S. Yediyurappa-led BJP Government in Karnataka. “Strengthening of party does not mean bringing leaders of other parties to BJP by invoking the names of Modi and Yediyurappa but to make them aware of achievements of BJP Govt. Chairmen of various Morchas are given absolute freedom and they need to use this to strengthen party.”
Santosh, according to sources, told them that party would not become strong on its own unless they tour the State to explain the achievements of the Modi Government and the Yediyurappa Government.
“Don’t be complacent that our party is in power and all programmes and schemes will reach without anybody’s help. Your duty is to tell people what our Governments are doing.”
