Mysore/Mysuru: Amidst the ongoing Hijab, Halal, Azaan and such other rows that have been raging the State in recent days, activists representing a host of organisations, formed a human chain around Dufferin Clock Tower in the heart of the city yesterday, in order to spread a message on maintaining unity, peace and harmony between communities and castes.
Speaking on the occasion, veteran activist P. Mallesh stressed on the need for maintaining peace and harmony as any failure in this regard, would threaten the very integrity of the country.
Mallesh also read out the messages printed on pamphlets that called for peace and harmony among all sections of the population and to thwart any attempts to divide the society on communal lines.
