Address traffic congestion on Sayyaji Rao Road-K.R. Circle junction

Sir,

This is to draw the attention of the City Police Commissioner and the traffic authorities concerned towards the critical issue affecting the daily lives of commuters and residents in our city: the severe traffic congestion at the junction of Sayyaji Rao Road and K.R. Circle signal.

This area has become a significant bottleneck, causing extensive delays and frustration for motorists and pedestrians alike.

The root cause of this congestion appears to be the inadequate infrastructure at this junction, which cannot accommodate the high volume of traffic efficiently.

During peak hours, the situation becomes particularly dire, with vehicles getting stuck in long queues, leading to increased travel times and contributing to air pollution due to idling engines.

The bottleneck effect not only disrupts the flow of traffic but also poses safety risks, as emergency vehicles find it                    challenging to navigate through the gridlock.

To alleviate this pressing issue, I urge the local authorities to consider the following measures:

1. Traffic Signal Optimisation: Adjust the timing of traffic signals to improve the flow of vehicles and reduce waiting times at the junction.

2. Road Widening: Explore the possibility of widening the road at the junction to accommodate more lanes, thus easing the congestion (especially the green pandal put for Dasara is causing a significant bottleneck effect).

I believe that addressing this issue promptly will greatly enhance the commuting experience for all and contribute to the overall well-being of our city. I hope the authorities concerned will take immediate action to implement these suggestions and mitigate the traffic woes at this crucial junction.
