Adi Dravida Yuvakara Sangha demands distribution of houses

Mysuru: Members of Karnataka Rajya Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Adi Dravida Yuvakara Abhivrudhi Mahasangha, led by JD(S) Corporator SBM Manju, staged a demonstration in front of Karnataka Slum Clearance Board office near Highway Circle, Bannimantap, on Wednesday, urging the Board to distribute houses to beneficiaries of JNNURM scheme.

Alleging that the JNNURM houses built by the Board were of poor quality, the protestors claimed that most of the drainage pipelines were leaking.

Also, the roof of most of the houses were leaking and power lines were drawn dangerously close to the houses, thus putting the lives of children to risk, they alleged.

Urging the Board to allot houses to beneficiaries and also issue title deeds at the earliest, the protestors demanded the Board to repair the houses in order to safeguard the houses from further deterioration.
