Mysuru: An Advanced Heart Failure Clinic was launched at Narayana Multispeciality Hospital (NMH) in city on Oct.27. The Clinic was inaugurated by K.G. Geetha, a heart failure patient who is a native of Mysuru.
Nithin Aiyappa, Facility Director, NMH, said, “With the growing need for advanced heart failure clinics, we believe that this new clinic will benefit patients in and around Mysuru. The clinic will not only provide extensive education regarding a healthy lifestyle, but will also offer advanced surgical treatment options.”
The clinic will offer extensive education on medication, diet and lifestyle changes, physiotherapy and cardiac rehabilitation, isotropic medications, access to advanced clinical research trials, evaluation for advanced surgical treatment options including artificial heart or bypass / valve surgery and heart transplant.
Dr. U.M. Nagamallesh, Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Heart Transplant Physician, MS Ramaiah Narayana Heart Centre, Bengaluru, will also offer consultations, along with the team of Doctors from Mysuru including Dr. Keshavamurthy – Sr. Cardiologist, Dr. Rajendra – Cardiologist, Dr. Srinivas – Cardiologist and Dr. M. N. Ravi – Cardiac Surgeon.
Another key aspect of the Clinic is that the outpatient is set-up in a manner that provides convenient and easy access to cardiology services, thereby minimising the need for hospital readmission. Consultations will be catered to on the third Saturday of every month.
