Mysore/Mysuru: As many as 150 Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) including Civil and Reserve Sub-Inspectors (RSIs) of District Armed Reserve (DAR) and City Armed Reserve (CAR), serving in five jurisdictional districts of Southern Range and Mysuru City Police Unit have been transferred with immediate effect.
According to a notification dated Jan. 27 issued from the office of IGP, Southern Range, Mysuru, Praveen Madhukar Pawar, the transfers follow the outcome of the meeting held at IGP’s office recently.
The transfers have been made in accordance with the guidelines of Election Commission in relation to Karnataka State Assembly elections. The Unit Officers have been directed to relieve the transferred Police personnel immediately so that they report to newly allotted places immediately, without availing the facility of joining period. A report in this regard — both relieving and reporting — should be submitted by Unit Officers to IGP’s office.
Among them, 111 are Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) — Civil and seven RSIs of DAR/ CAR serving in their native districts, followed by 24 PSIs serving in the same sub-division for the past three years and three PSIs (Civil) due to administrative reasons.
Police stations in five districts namely-Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu and Hassan come under Southern Range.
