Mysuru, Oct. 18 (MK&DM)- Demanding reduction in library fees and better facilities, students of Maharaja’s College, under the banner of AIDSO (All India Democratic Students Organisation) staged a demonstration in front the College on Thursday.
“The class rooms lack cleanliness, lights and fans. Besides there is shortage of drinking water. The authorities must address these issues in the better interests of students. Also, the college authorities have hiked library fees, which should be withdrawn immediately. This apart, appointment of lectures should be made for Income Tax and Insurance subjects of B.Com course”, they urged. They warned of boycotting classes if computers, learning equipment and other much needed facilities are not provided.
Later, the students submitted a memorandum to the College Principal to be forwarded to the University Registrar.
