Saagarika Shyamnur, student of 6th semester EC of The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), an Air Wing NCC Cadet of 4 Kar Air Sqn NCC, participated in the Republic Day Camp 2018 held at New Delhi where she won All India second best cadet award.
Based on this performance, she was selected to represent Indian NCC Contingent under Youth Exchange Program (YEP) as Youth Ambassador to Russian Defense Academy, Perm, from Aug.10 to 26, 2018. She led the Karnataka and Goa Contingent at All India Vayu Sainik Camp at Jodhpur, the top most camp of Air Wing NCC. She won the top most award for an NCC Cadet, The Director General Commendation Award at New Delhi for her achievements in NCC. She was felicitated by Dr. Narayan Murthy, Founder of Infosys at techNIEks, NIE for the above mentioned.
