Mysuru lad Suraj R. Prabodh, taking part in the AITA 2 Lakh Men’s and Women’s Tennis Tourney at Panchgani in Maharashtra, won the Men’s Singles title beating Maharashtra’s Kaiwalya 6-3, 6-2 in the final on Friday.
In the semi-finals, Suraj registered a 6-3, 6-4 win over Dharmil Shah 6-3, 6-4 and in the quarter-finals, scored a 7-5, 7-5 win over Kavin Masilamani to progress further. In the pre-quarter-finals, Suraj beat Shimon Shastri 6-1, 6-1 and in the first round, beat Krishna Teja Ankam 6-3, 6-1 to move ahead.
