Alhaj Musthaq Ahmed (73), retired Assistant Commissioner of Mysuru City Corporation and a resident of Siddique Nagar, passed away following cardiac arrest yesterday midnight in city.
He leaves behind his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.
Namaz-e-Janaza will be held today at Masjid-e-Azam on Ashoka Road after Isha prayers (8.30 pm), followed by the burial at the Muslim Burial Grounds near Tipu Circle.
