H.D. Kote: Alleging negligence on the part of a doctor resulting in the death of a newborn baby, the parents have lodged a complaint at H.D. Kote Police Station.
The newborn baby girl of Suresh Kumar and Deepa couple of Bidarahalli Circle in the taluk died a few hours after being born. On Nov.11, Deepa began to experience labour pain, following which Suresh admitted her to a private hospital in H.D. Kote where Deepa delivered the girl child on Nov.14.
As the baby was critical, doctors at the private hospital asked Suresh to admit the baby at a hospital in Mysuru. But when Suresh took the baby to Cheluvamba Hospital, the doctors declared the baby as ‘brought dead.’
Meanwhile Deepa’s brother Manu told SOM that the baby died due to the negligence of the doctor at the private hospital besides stating that though the baby had died, the doctor had not revealed it to them. Suresh Kumar has lodged a complaint with H.D. Kote Police and Sub-Inspector M. Nayak, who has registered a case is, investigating.
