Parents, relatives stage protest
Mysuru: Alleging negligence on the part of medical staff at Cheluvamba Hospital that led to the death of a newborn, parents and relatives of the child staged a protest at the hospital this morning.
It is learnt that one Lakshmi, wife of Harish, residents of Ganesh Nagar in N.R. Mohalla, was admitted to the hospital yesterday where she delivered a baby.
The doctors told Harish that both of them were healthy but this morning, when the doctor checked the baby they informed the parents that it was dead, Harish said and held the medical staff responsible for the baby’s death.
Meanwhile, the relatives and parents of the baby, who staged a protest for some time at the hospital, alleged that the nurses and other staff at the hospital were harassing the patients at the hospital.
However, no case has been registered in this regard.
