Lady employee lodges complaint against hotelier
Mysore/Mysuru: A former lady employee of a private hotel on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway has lodged a Police complaint against one Preetham Puranik, in-charge of managing the hotel for allegedly assaulting her sexually after promising to marry her and also against his father Krishnadas Puranik, owner of the hotel, for reportedly helping the accused.
According to the complaint, the 27-year-old lady employee, while was working in the hotel since 2014 during which Preetham was said to be in love with her. When the lady accepted his proposal in 2018, Preetham is accused of sexually assaulting her since then at the spa located on the top floor of the hotel.
In 2022, when the lady became pregnant, Preetham is said to have got the foetus aborted and when the lady demanded Preetham to marry her in April, 2023, the accused again made her believe that he would marry her. The lady has accused Preetham of clicking her private photos and taking videos, threatening to upload the same on social media platforms and continued to assault her sexually.
On Nov. 3, 2023, the lady again got pregnant and when she demanded Preetham to marry her, Preetham and his father is said to have abused her caste and threw her out of the hotel, the complaint further stated. NR Police, who have registered a case are investigating.
