Amateur magician mesmerises children of Mahouts, Kavadis

Mysuru:  A magic show was arranged for the Tent School children of Mahouts and Kavadis camping in the Mysore Palace premises here recently.

Mysuru’s amateur Magician 20-year-old Shakti Shenoy entertained the children with his tricks. The children studying in the Tent School watched the magic show completely awed and also performed a few tricks themselves.

The 45-minute-long-show in the afternoon was full of fun  and frolic. The linking rings, vanishing wand, six cards  repeat tricks, botania, were  some of the tricks Shenoy performed to the loud cheering of the kids.

Tent School Nodal Officer  C.S. Kusuma said that the  magic show was arranged by the South Zone BEO Office for the children of Mahouts and Kavadis. The children who have come from various elephant camps have no knowledge of magic shows and in this background it was arranged, she added.

Magician Shenoy said that though he had performed  many magic shows, he had never seen the kind of response these children from the forest gave him. They were all so eager to watch and know the tricks behind the magic, he added.

Cluster Resource Persons Veenashri and D. Nagendra Kumar, Block Resource Persons Indira and Subbalakshmi, BRT Nagendra Prasad and others were present.
