Amit Shah’s visit has rattled Congress leaders, says Suresh Kumar

Mysuru: Congress leaders in Karnataka are rattled by the visit of Amit Shah to Karnataka, said former Minister and ‘Vistharak’ for Mysuru District S. Suresh Kumar. He was addressing a section of party workers at a convention hall at Nazarbad on Aug. 16.

“Amit Shah’s visit has forced Congress to have a rethink on its vote-bank politics and revise its electoral strategy. Without any alternative, they are criticising BJP as they have lost the confidence of the people of Karnataka,” he said.  Calling upon the party workers to highlight the anti-people policies of Congress government in Karnataka and the good work being done by the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre, Suresh Kumar said that Congress leaders had lost the confidence of the people. “Make use of the unpopularity of Congress government and bring back BJP to power,” he said.

“Congress is playing polarisation politics in Karnataka, and we have a strategy to counter it under the leadership of Amit Shah,” Kumar said. “We are very, very clear about Lingayat religion issue. The issue will be resolved or solved by that particular community. We don’t want to add, we don’t want to interfere in any manner in this issue,” he said.

City BJP President Dr. B.H. Manjunath said that Amit Shah had given broad guidelines for the party to spring back to power and the entire party machinery was geared up to chalk out new strategy to defeat Congress in the 2018 polls.

“In Mysuru, we need to win Chamaraja, Krishnaraja and Narasimharaja Constituencies to accomplish BJP’s Mission 150,” he said.  BJP Slum Morcha State General Secretary R. Raghu Kautilya, former MLC Thontadharya, City General Secretaries H.V. Rajeev, Nandeesh Preetham, Deputy Mayor Rathna Lakshman, Mysuru Division party in-charge L. Nagendra and others were present.
