Amrita leads pooled campus drives in Mysuru

Mysuru: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, has promoted several pooled campus recruitment drives by leading multinational companies for Arts and Science students passing out in the year 2018. In spite of the slowdown in the campus recruitments across the country, Amrita, Mysuru campus could attract many MNCs to its campus and close to 360 placement offers have been received so far.

Arts and Science students from MMK & SDM, JSS campuses, Maharani’s, Yuvaraja’s, St Philomena’s, SDD GFGC (Hunsur), NIE FGC, Teresian First Grade College, Seshasdripuram  Degree College, Gopalswamy College, GFGC Bannur, GFGC Kadur, GSC Hassan, GFGC Mandya, were some of the beneficiaries of the campus drives.

Placements for MCA, M.Com & MJMC students of Amrita, Mysuru campus passing out in the year 2018 is under progress. PG students could secure placement offers from very leading companies. The highest salary offer to MCA student is Rs. 6 lakh per annum.

UG students of Amrita have registered close to 95 % placements. Highest salary on offer is Rs 4.05 lakh per annum.    

Amrita, Mysuru campus has been organising pooled campus drives during the past four years. In all, these campus drives resulted in the placement of around 900 students from other campuses. This includes several government college students from far flung places like Hassan, Chitradurga, Magadi, Mandya, Hunsur and Nanjangud, according to a press release from C. Vidya Pai, Principal, Amrita School of Arts & Sciences.
