Amrita to host ‘CINERAMA – 2025’

7th National-level Short Film Festival on Apr. 3

Mysuru: The Department of Visual Communication, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus, is organising the 7th National-level Short Film Festival ‘CINERAMA-2025’ on Apr. 3 at its premises in Bogadi II Stage here.

T.N. Seetharam, Veteran Director, Writer and Actor of Kannada Film Industry, will inaugurate the fest at 9.30 am.

Actress Milana Nagaraj will be the chief guest for valedictory and awards function at 5.30 pm. Vaishali Hanumanth and C.R. Hanumanth, Proprietors, DRC Multiplex Cinemas, Mysuru, will be the guests of honour.

The fest aims to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and skills in short film-making. Winners of the event will be awarded with attractive cash prizes — First Best Film, Second Best Film and Third Best Film.

In addition to these, special recognition will be given in categories such as Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Performer, Best Cinematographer  and Best Editor, all of which will also carry cash prizes.

Short films were invited from students and professionals across the country to participate in the festival. To further inspire budding film-makers, participants were encouraged to take part in the “60-Hour Film-making Challenge.” Winners in this category will also receive cash prizes for the top three films.
