An appeal to our MP Pratap Simha: Extend Mangaluru-Bengaluru trains to Mysuru

Sir,

It is heartening to observe that the initiatives taken by our MP Pratap Simha in extending a number of trains from Bengaluru to Mysuru are bearing fruits.

Railways have positively responded to the requests of our MP in extending the trains. This in turn augmented the train services between Chennai and Mysuru also.

Till last year we Mysureans were able to travel to the coastal city of Mangaluru on a daily basis. On account of opening the Shravanabelagola-Bengaluru line the train services to Mysuru were reduced to three days in a week. Bengaluru is enjoying the daily night as well as day train services to Mangaluru.

Hence, I appeal to our MP Pratap Simha to take up the matter with the Railway authorities to extend the Mangaluru-Bengaluru trains to Mysuru so that the port city of Mangaluru can be well- connected to the cultural capital.

Further, the extension will benefit the pilgrims from this area travelling to Kukke Subramanya immensely.
