Mysore/Mysuru: As the Coronavirus scare grips the globe, many are going panic while a few others are finding ways to educate people and create awareness on the pandemic.
L. Yoganand, a city-based artist and an alumnus of CAVA, is creating awareness in his own artistic way through a video.
The 59-second concept video titled ‘Awareness on Coronavirus’ features theatre artiste Hari Prasad of Rangavalli wearing a mask and going around places that are frequented by large gathering like the market area, malls and Central Business District with messages like Do Not Panic, Spread Awareness and Do Not Spread (COVID-19).
Speaking to Star of Mysore about his video, Yoganand said, “In the video I am trying to show that with our ignorance initially, we have let the virus enter all our places. The performing artiste is shown as virus himself and how it is roaming around everywhere. It is like virus itself telling people that he is here and so we must keep ourselves sanitised and stay healthy.”
On why he chose a prop depicting Google Chrome for this video, he said: “To know about anything on this earth, we google and find information. Now with COVID-19 spreading globally, I can visualise as if Google Chrome itself is infected. Hence, I created that prop. Also, I have customised my T-shirt with the same idea.”
