Mysore/Mysuru: Rotary Panchsheel Mysuru and Rotary Mysore have jointly organised ‘Andha Nadige’ (Walk for the Blind) event tomorrow (Sept. 3) in city to create awareness about visual impairment, announced Rotary District Governor H.R. Keshav at a press meet held at Pathrakartara Bhavan on Tyagaraja Road here yesterday.
Stating that the walk will begin at 7.30 am from the old Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office and culminate at the Rotary Mysore office on JLB Road, the Rotary District Governor said that the ‘Andha Nadige’ is being organised to create awareness among the general public about the challenges faced by the visually impaired in their life.
National Seminar on Sept. 2, 3
He also disclosed that a National Seminar on ‘Drishti Shastra (Theory of Vision)’ will be held on Sept. 2 and 3 at Mysore Builders’ Charitable Trust (MBCT) auditorium in Vidyaranyapuram here.
Many Specialists including Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury will participate in this Seminar.
Dr. Ravishankar, Kiran Robert, Anand and Praveen were present at the press meet.
