Anil Kumble visits Palace with family

Mysuru: Former International Cricketer Anil Kumble visited Mysore Palace this morning along with his wife Chethana Ramatheertha and daughters Aaruni Kumble and Svasti Kumble.

The Kumble family was accorded a traditional welcome by Palace Board Deputy Director T.S. Subramanya, who also made arrangements for them to take a complete tour of the Palace.

The family viewed the paintings and artefacts displayed in the Palace along with the Kalyana Mantap, Public Durbar Hall, Private Durbar Hall and the Garden located in front of the Palace.

After the Palace tour, Anil Kumble wrote in English in the visitors book: “Pride of Karnataka! Thank you for the tour of the Palace.”

 Writing in Kannada, he had a word of praise for the Palace Board for conserving and maintain the monument. 

Jeanne Briganti, Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate General Chennai, who was in Mysuru recently to inspect the ongoing restoration works at the Folklore Museum housed at Jayalakshmi Vilas Mansion in Manasagangothri, also visited the Palace along with Ratna Mukherjee, Public Engagement Specialist, Office of Public Affairs, US Consulate  General, Chennai.
