Mysuru: A ten-day Basic Leadership Camp/Combined Annual Training Camp (BLC/CATC) for NCC cadets from various districts was held at Maharaja’s and Yuvaraja’s College Hostel premises in city by Kar Bn NCC Mysore and Hassan.
Training was imparted on various skills such as drill, map reading, first aid, adventure, self defence and physical fitness.
Lectures about leadership qualities, time management, trust management, group management, crisis and emergency management, group discussion and various aspects of personality development are also included in the training camp.
Officials from Staff Selection Board provided information such as eligibility criteria and other details regarding recruitment in Indian Army.
As many as 650 cadets including 265 girls from Vijayapura, Hubballi, Dharwad, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru and other districts took part in the camp.
Voluntary blood donation programme was held on June 12, in association with K.R. Hospital Blood Bank. Dr Manjunath and his team collected blood from various voluntary blood donors.
Camp Adjutant Major B. Madhav Narayan, Captain M. Krishnamurthy of 14 Karnataka Battalion, Lieutenant K.K. Theresa, Major Jayaraj, Harish, Vishwanath and Ananthmurthy were present.
