Kamal Bali to deliver 24th Convocation Address
Mysuru: The 24th Annual Convocation of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD) will take place on Saturday (Mar. 30) at the Institute Campus situated on Chamundi Hill Road, Siddarthanagar, Mysuru, at 3 pm.
Kamal Bali, President and Managing Director, Volvo Group, will be the chief guest and deliver the Convocation Address.
Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Chairman, SDM-IMD, will preside and grace the occasion.
During the 24th Annual Convocation, the Institute will be awarding Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) to the eligible students of the batch 2017-19. Students who have excelled in the areas of Specialisation and the Overall Performance will be receiving Gold Medals from Kamal Bali.
Dr. N. R. Parasuraman, Director of the Institute, will be presenting the Annual Report.
Profile: Kamal Bali has been Managing Director of Volvo India at Volvo Buses India Private Limited since April 2014. He has served as the President at LeeBoy India Construction Equipment Private Limited; as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Escorts Construction Equipment Ltd. since January 2007; as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Same Deutz-Fahr India.
An engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bali has 28 years of CE industry experience. He has served as Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Karnataka State Council during 2017-18 and previously as Deputy Chairman of CII-Karnataka for 2016-17.
