JSS Public School, Siddarthanagar, celebrated its 35th Annual Day on Dec. 23 in the school premises. The event began with invocation by the School Choir, followed by a welcome address by M. Yasha of Class X.
The School Report was presented by B. Latha, Principal; Celebration Report by S. Shimsha of Class X and the Co-Scholastic and Sports Report by M.S. Manvita of Class X.
S.P. Manjunath, Secretary-1, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, in his presidential address, advised students to use mobile phones judiciously.
Chief guest, N. Vishnuvardhana, Superintendent of Police, created awareness about cybercrime, the ill-effects of drugs and the importance of becoming law-abiding citizens.
Guest of honour, Dr. K. Anantharamu, retd. Kannada Professor, University of Mysore, urged students to help their parents and inculcate strong moral values. He also highlighted the importance of Ashtanga Yoga in maintaining physical and mental well-being.
Dharshan Kawad of Class X proposed the vote of thanks. Saakshi S. Nayak, Eesha S. Kashyap, Amulya, and Trisha, compered.
The cultural segment, ‘Symphony of Traditions,’ was the highlight of the evening. A devotional dance on the origin of Suttur Mutt, vibrant performances by Classes I to IX showcasing diverse Indian and global dance forms, a dynamic karate display and the Grand Finale by Class X, an energetic Indo-Western dance, captivated the audience.
