Mysore/Mysuru: Police Public School, Mahadevapura Main Road, Jalapuri, Mysuru, celebrated its 17th Annual Day in a grand manner on Dec. 22 and 23 in three sessions at Karnataka Police Academy (KPA) Auditorium.
The first session was for the students from classes Pre-kg to class 2, with Dr. B.T. Kavitha, Superintendent of Police (SP), Chamarajanagar, as chief guest. She spoke on providing emotional support to ensure the child’s overall development and well-being.
The annual report for this section was presented by M.G. Manjula, Vice-Principal (Nursery).
This was followed by a colourful variety entertainment programme by the tiny-tots.
Session 2 was also held on the same day at 5 pm with Shaikh Tanveer Asif, MCC Commissioner, as chief guest, who stressed the importance of Holistic Education. The annual report was presented by Sanchayeeta Ambrose, English HoD. Cultural programmes were presented by the students of classes 3, 4 and 5.
Session 3 commenced at 4.30 pm on Dec. 23. DCP (Law & Order) R.N. Bindu Mani, who was the chief guest, counselled parents on effective ways to handle their children. She advised them on understanding their child’s behaviour, maintaining positive communication and setting clear boundaries.
The annual report was presented by in-Charge Principal Deena Uthappa highlighting the school’s achievements in various fields.
A variety entertainment programme followed with the Grand Finale showcasing the cultural dance forms of North India.
