Mysuru: On the occasion of its Annual Day celebrations, Nrityagiri – Performing Arts and Research Centre, Mysuru, will present ‘Nritya Sambhrama,’ a dance performance by its junior students on Sept. 15 at 10.30 am at Ganabharathi’s Ramagovinda Kala Vedike on Adichunchanagiri Road in Kuvempunagar here.
They will be accompanied by Vidu. Pooja Sugam on natuvanga, Vid. R. Rajeev on vocal, Vid. G.S. Nagaraj on mridanga and Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad on flute.
Ganabharathi Vice-President H.R. Sundareshan, Parampare Secretary P. Krishna Kumar and Mukthaka Sahitya Balaga President Prof. S. Ramaprasad will be the chief guests.
Later that evening, at 6.30 pm, there will be a Bharatanatyam Duet titled ‘Nritya Samarpana’ by Vidu. Pooja Sugam and Vidu. Samiksha Manukumar, disciples of S. Vijay Kumar.
They will be accompanied by Vid. R. Rajeev on vocal, Vid. D.V. Prasanna Kumar on natuvanga, Vid. G.S. Nagaraj on mridanga and Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad on flute.
On Sept. 16, at RamaGovinda Ranga Mandira in Ramakrishnanagar, Mysuru, in collaboration with the Sapthaswara Balaga, there will be a Hindustani Vocal Recital by Pandit Ramesh Kalkund at 5.30 pm, followed by ‘Nritya Samagama,’ a Bharatanatyam performance by senior students of Nrityagiri at 6.30 pm.
They will be accompanied by Vidu. Samiksha Manukumar on natuvanga, Vid. R. Rajeev on vocal, Vid. G.S. Nagaraj on mridanga and Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad on flute.
Bharathanjali School of Dance Director Dr. Sheela Sridhar, Aayama Academy Director Dr. Shambhavi Swamy and Sapthaswara Balaga & Nrupathunga School Director & President Krishnappa will be the chief guests.
