Mysore/Mysuru: Young Indians (Yi), Mysuru Chapter, celebrated its 6th Annual Day recently at Hotel Radisson Blu in city.
Kishor Jagirdar, Chairman and MD of infospace Management Pvt Ltd, addressed members and budding entrepreneurs on “Entrepreneurship opportunities ahead – Government schemes to support and boost start-up companies.”
A panel discussion on promoting entrepreneurship in Mysuru, advantages and disadvantages in setting up IT start-up companies in Mysuru was conveyed by young entrepreneurs H.G. Sharath, Co-founder, Techmill Technologies and Ramprasad Sreekantaiah, Director, White Clarke India. The speakers lauded the advantage of Mysuru having hard-working youngsters, traffic-less roads and dots of greenery.
Stating that the city lacks IT infrastructure for the start-ups, which has to be looked into, Ramprasad mentioned that start-ups might take advantage of increasing air and road connectivity in the coming days to open branches in city.
Dr. Pradeep, Chapter Chairperson of Yi Mysuru, released the annual activity report. The team of youngsters were successful in organising 54 social events, a Hackathon (24 Hours Virtual Hackathon), Ideathon, Virtual Internship Fair and many educative sessions for youths in 2020 despite the pandemic. This was appreciated by Pavan G. Ranga, Vice-Chairman, CII Mysuru Zone.
Yi is an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organisation playing a proactive role in the development process.
