Mysuru: The 15th Annual Day of Nrutya Vidya Peeta – Academy of Classical Dance & Indian Arts, Mysuru, will be held at Kalamandira in city tomorrow (Feb. 7) from 4.30 pm.
Vidu. C.S. Lakshmi, Music Teacher, Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled, will inaugurate the celebrations. Pratibha Puraskar will be presented to exam toppers.
5 pm: ‘Nartana Vrukshaavali 2025,’ a Bharatanatyam Series by students of Nrutya Vidya Peeta. Choreography and Direction by Guru Vidu. C.N. Anitha. Musical Ensemble – Vidu. M.S. Amrutha (natuvanga), Nayana Nagaraj (vocal), Vid. G.T. Swamy (mridanga) and Vid. Tandavamurthy (violin).
6.30 pm: Bharata Kesari-2025 Award will be conferred on Lt. Col. K.A. Geetha (retd.).
7 pm: Guru Vidushi C.N. Anitha & her senior disciples will present ‘Krishnaya Tubhyam Namaha’ based on Geeta Govinda, composed by poet Sri Jayadeva. A dance-drama with anekaahaarya prayoga; Musical Ensemble – Vidu. M.S. Amrutha (natuvanga), Vid. Kalamandalam Sagar Das (vocal), Vid. Kalamandalam Jithin Jaymon (mridanga), Vid. Sreehari Kottakal, Kerala (flute) and Vid. Sri Guru Datt, Mysuru (rhythm pad).
Dr. M.D. Sudarshan, Asst. Director, Kannada & Culture Department, Mysuru, will be special invitee. Shobha Balakrishna, Principal, Swarna Educational Institution, Holenarasipur, Hassan and G.K. Kamala, Manager, L&T Technology Services, Mysuru will be present. K.G. Amitha and G.K. Kamala will compere.
