Annual Feast at The Infant Jesus Cathedral to conclude today

Mysore/Mysuru: The nine days long Annual Feast celebration of Infant Jesus at the Infant Jesus Cathedral, Hinkal, will conclude this evening.

Fr. Rony Puthenveettil, Rector, Mother Teresa Minor Seminary, Mandya, celebrated the Holy Mass and Novena last evening, followed by the Eucharistic Procession, led by Fr. Paul Manjooran, Director, Department of Catechism, Diocese of Mandya.

Today (Jan. 18), the Main Feast Day, there was Holy Mass at 7 am. Mar Sebastian Adayanthrath, Bishop of Mandya, was the main celebrant for the Solemn High Mass at 10.30 am. There was Annasantarpane at 12.30 pm.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Antony Vazhappilly, the Bishop Emeritus of Mysuru, will officiate the Solemn Festal High Mass in Kannada at 4.30 pm followed by the grand candlelight procession in honour of Infant Jesus with the famous Nashik Dhol and Bandsets to the Ring Road junction, Hinkal. There will be Nashik Dhol performance and the Wonders in the Sky at 7.30 pm.

There will be an Entertainment Programme by famous Malayalam Serial and Comedy Show artistes Prakash Pattambi, Niyas Kannur and team at 8 pm, according to Msgr. Thomas Thennattil, the Parish Priest and Bastian Joseph Kottukappilly, the  General Convener.
