Mysuru: – The 15th Annual Ganesha procession and mass immersion of idols installed at various places across the city organised under the banner of Mysuru Nagara Samoohika Vinayaka Visarjana Mandali, D. Devaraja Urs Road, Mysuru, will held on Sept.16 in city. The idols will be taken for immersion in decorated vehicles.
The vehicles carrying the idols from across the city will assemble at Veeraganapathi Temple in Veeranagere around 12 noon. The procession will begin at 2 pm after the public function.
The procession will be accompanied by a host of folk troupes including Dollu Kunitha, Kamsale, Veeraghase, Tamate and other folk dances.
The procession will pass through Ashoka Road and Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple at North Gate of the Palace. They will continue the procession through Devaraja Urs Road, JLB Road, Railway Station, Bamboo Bazaar, Bannimantap to reach Srirangapatna where the idols will be immersed in river near Sri Saibaba Temple.
Thousands of people will take part in the grand procession chanting slogans, according to a press release from Narayanappa, President of the Visarjana Mandali.
