Mysuru: The annual sports meet for Mysuru District Home Guards was held at the DAR Grounds in Jyothinagar here on Thursday.
International Athlete M.R. Dhanusha, who spoke after inaugurating the meet, said that sports will help everyone to stay healthy both physically and mentally.
Stressing on the need for everyone to do physical exercises at least for a few minutes every day, she said that taking part in sporting events will help one to be active and physically fit.
Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Memorial Hospital Managing Director Dr. H.V. Santhrupth spoke on the importance of a healthy life.
Additional SP R. Shivakumar, District Home Guards Office Assistant Administrator M.N. Vishwanath, staff Vidyashri, Govinda, Shivanna, Juliet and others were present. Home Guards enthusiastically participated in various events.
