More than 1,000 students from various schools in Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu districts thronged Kalamandira on Hunsur Road this morning to take part in the Grand Finale of Cultural Programmes and prize distribution ceremony of “Annual Talent Splash-2017”.
Inaugurating the programme, organised by CISPMAM, an associate of CBSE, ICSE & State Private Schools Management of Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Kodagu districts, former Mayor Sandesh Swamy said that these events play a major role in bringing out the hidden talent among children.
He also sought the Government to allow students of Kannada schools to interact with students of English institutions to ensure full utility of the high-level of IQ embedded in students.
A total of seven prizes for outdoor games and five indoor games like throw-ball, swimming, kho-kho, badminton, rangoli design, table tennis and poster-making were distributed among students of 60 schools who took part in the month-long contests.
Cultural Programmes enthral jam-packed venue
Various cultural programmes like dance presented by students of Manasasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama, Jnanasarovar International Residential School, Supreme Public School, Orchid School in city , Gnanabandhu Vidyalaya at Pandavapura and others enthralled the jam-packed venue.
Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep, Chairman of Kautilya Group of Institutions Raghu Kautilya, CISPMAM Vice-Presidents M.L. Ravindra swamy and P. Venkatesh, Secretary S. Balakrishna, Treasurer K.S. Swaroopini and Joint Secretary M. Santhosh Kumar were present on the occasion.
