The Women and Child Development Department has invited offline applications in the prescribed format from eligible women and gender minority candidates for appointment as Anganwadi workers and helpers at Anganwadi Centres run by the Department under Child Development Project. The appointment will be made for 83 posts of Anganwadi workers, 14 Mini Anganwadi workers and 153 Anganwadi helpers.
The educational qualification for the post of Anganwadi Worker is a pass in PUC, with Kannada as the first or second language. Preference will be given for candidates who have additional qualifications such as ECCE Diploma course conducted by DSERT, JOC Course, NTT Course, Diploma in Nutrition, Certificate course in Home Science, one-year Nursery Training etc.
The educational qualification for the post of Anganwadi helper is a pass in SSLC or an equivalent exam. Candidates who have secured a minimum of 219 marks out of 625 in SSLC will only be considered. Last date for applying is Apr. 14, according to a press release from the Department Deputy Director.
