Bengaluru; The application process for admission to free seats through the Right To Education (RTE) Act for the 2018-19 academic year will begin on Feb. 20.
According to the time-table prepared by the Department of Public Instruction, the application process will continue till March 21. A trial application process will be conducted on Feb. 18 and 19.
The final list of applicants eligible for lottery process will be announced on April 2 and the first round of allotment will be conducted on April 6. Admissions will start on April 7. The second round of allotment is scheduled to be held on April 24 and the third round on May 14.
Officials have been asked to map schools in their jurisdiction ahead of the process. They have been asked to leave out from the list minority institutions, schools which are to be closed or are closed and those which have obtained stay from the Court.
This time, aided schools will be included in the process.
