Prof. B.R. Jayakumari Thimmegowda has been appointed as Principal of Mahajana First Grade College in city. A native of Halebeedu village of Pandavapurataluk, Mandya district, Prof. Jayakumari has been known for her progressive stances and passion for writing through her books ‘Hejje’ and ‘BenkiyolaginaGulabi’. She has been the recipient of ‘Best Lecturer Award’ of the State in 2001 as well as ‘Karnataka SevaRatna Award’ in 2007.
