Mysore/Mysuru: Prof. S.R. Niranjana, former Vice-Chancellor of Gulbarga University and Distinguished Professor (Life-long), Department of Studies in Biotechnology, University of Mysore, has been appointed as Vice-Chairman of Karnataka State Higher Education Council by the Government of Karnataka.
He was appointed to the post in recognition of his significant and lifetime contribution to the development of Science and Technology in the country.
Prof. Niranjana is a recipient of several awards including Fellow of The National Academy of Sciences, India (FNASc), Fellow of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (FNAAS) and Fellow of National Academy of Biological Sciences (FNABS).
