Mysore/Mysuru: Surabhi Ganakalamandira Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be conducting a Karnatak classical music concert by Vidu. Anjana Nagaraja, on Aug. 4 at 6 pm at Rasavrinda, Devaparthiva Road, Chamarajapuram, under its ‘Aralu Prathibhe’ programme. She will be accompanied by Vid. Tumakuru Yashaswi on violin and Vid. Nandan Kashyap on mridanga.
Profile: Anjana Nagaraja from Namma Mysuru is presently residing in Atlanta, G.A. She is a disciple of eminent musician, Vidu. Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar, and has also been trained under Violin maestro Ganesh Rajagopalan, for 2 years. She is the founder of ‘Mahathi Music Academy,’ a Karnataka Shastriya Sangeetha institute that trains interested students of all ages.
Anjana completed Vidwat in Music and has a Master’s degree in South Indian Classical Music and M.Sc. in Biotechnology. A graded artiste of All India Radio, she has performed in several prestigious organisations, according to a press release from A. Keshava Saralaya.
