Mysore/Mysuru: Surabhi Ganakalamandira Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be conducting a classical music concert by Vidu. Dhatri H. Kumar, on July 12 at 6 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavana, Ganabharathi, Kuvempunagar, under its ‘Aralu Prathibhe’ programme.
Vidu. Dhatri will be accompanied by Tanmayee Uppangala on violin, Vid. V.V.R. Bhargava on mridanga and Vid. S. Manjunath on ghata.
Artiste’s Profile: Vidu. Dhatri H. Kumar received musical training at a very young age under the guidance of Vid. V. Venkatachalaiah of Hassan and continued higher studies under the tutelage of Vidu. Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar. Presently she is being mentored by Sangeetha Kalanidhi Nayveli Santana Gopalan.
A graded artiste of AIR, Dhatri has excelled in Vidwat and Master of Music examinations in addition to Master’s in English Literature. She is a recipient of ‘Sangeetha Kaustubha’ title from Subbarama Fine Arts Trust and has performed in various reputed Sabhas in Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai.
