Mysuru: Surabhi Ganakalamandira, Mysuru, is presenting a thematic programme of classical music, ‘Ekaraga Darshana’ on raga Shahana by Vidu. R. Rashmi of Bengaluru, under the ‘Aralu Prathibhe’ series tomorrow (Oct. 27) at 10.30 am at ‘Sriswara’, #1095, Devaparthiva Road, Chamarajapuram, Mysuru.
She will accompanied by Vid. Arjun Dinakar on violin and Vid. P.S. Sridhar on mridanga.
Profile: Vidu. R. Rashmi learnt classical music from Vidu. Kalavathi Avadhooth and presently pursuing the art under the guidance of Vidu. Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar. A B.Tech. graduate hailing from a family of musicians, she has excelled in senior grade exams conducted by KSEE Board both in vocal and violin.
She has completed Vidvath in Bharathanatyam and learning nattuvangam and kunnakkol. She has performed solo music concerts in several prestigious sabhas like Sri Ramasevamandali, Sri Vani Kalakendra, Yedathore Mutt, Shankara channel and won many awards. She has also received first prize in national level nattuvangam competition.
