Architects to talk on landmark projects

Mysuru: Internationally renowned Architect Palinda Kannangara from Sri Lanka and Landscape Architect Varna from Bengaluru will share their experience of their landmark projects, at a talk organised by Indian Institute of Architects, Mysuru Centre at Fortune JP Palace in city on July 26 at 6 pm.

Profile: Sri Lankan Architect Palinda Kannangara has a background in Mathematics and Architecture. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) with a specialisation in Mathematics. Palinda established independent practice in 2005 and his studio is now located in Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka.

Varna Shashidhar is a Landscape Architect and founder Principal of VLSA, a regional landscape practice that focuses on the creation of contextual landscapes. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Architecture from RVCA and obtained a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. Varna works closely with Palinda Kannanagara Architects on projects of ecological significance.
