Are MCC vehicle drivers above law?

Sir,

On the afternoon of 12th June, around 1.10 pm, a truck with the registration number KA-09-AA-8708, belonging to the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), was observed near V.V. Puram Police Station violating basic traffic rules, showing complete disregard for the Police and the public.

The truck was carrying debris and a long pole, which was dangerously protruding nearly ten feet outside the chassis of the vehicle, posing a significant hazard to other road users. Additionally, the driver was observed driving in the wrong direction after jumping the traffic signal, neglecting the busy traffic and showing blatant disregard for both the Police and the general public.

This reckless behaviour not only endangered others on the road but also displayed a lack of responsibility on the driver’s part, especially being an MCC driver.
