Mysuru: Daksha First Grade College, Mysuru, inaugurated its Finance Club “Arthavyuha” at the college’s Cultural Hall recently.
Dr. Shivakumar, Assistant Professor, MBA Department, VTU Regional Centre, was the chief guest.
P. Jayachandra Raju, Chairman of the Global Education Trust, Dr. M.B. Mahesha, Principal and H.R. Arpitha, IQAC Coordinator, were present.
The inauguration began with a trailer showcasing the Club’s vision and activities. The dignitaries launched “Arthavyuha” by unveiling its logo. The new initiative aimed at enhancing students’ financial literacy and providing industry exposure.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shivakumar praised the initiative, highlighting its potential to offer real-world financial insights. He stressed the importance of smart work, financial independence and understanding economic principles.
Jayachandra Raju, in his presidential speech, emphasised the growing importance of financial awareness in today’s fast-evolving and competitive world.
He highlighted that financial literacy is not just a skill but a necessity for making informed decisions, ensuring stability, and achieving long-term success.
Expressing confidence in the Club’s young and dedicated team, he encouraged students to actively engage in various activities, develop a strong foundation in finance and apply their knowledge effectively in real-world scenarios.
