Mysuru: The following artistes will be performing in the Articulate (Mysuru) Festival – Series 42 at Veene Seshanna Bhavana, Ganabharathi, Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar, on Oct.20 at 6 pm:
Harshini Purushotham
Harshini Purushotham, Bharatanatyam danseuse in the lineage of Vasundhara Bani, started her training under Dr. Rekha Raju. Thereafter under Dr. Uma Rao, a direct disciple of Rukminidevi Arundale. She continued under Guru K. Sandesh Bhargav. She matriculated with Vidwat degree in Bharatanatyam from Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) and did her Rangavidhi Praveshika, in 2014.
Harshini runs the Trust ‘Swarashraya Gana Sabha’ that offers platform to senior and young Classical Music vocalists.
She is a faculty dance teacher in Kala Sandesha Pratishtana.
M.S. Vidyalakshmi
Vidyalakshmi had her initial training in Bharatanatyam under Guru Pushpa Krishnamurthy and learnt Karnatak Classical Music under her father Guru K.S. Mohan Kumar.
She furthered her training under Guru P. Praveen Kumar. She holds Masters Degree in Bharatanatyam from Bangalore University and has successfully completed Vidwat grade dance examination conducted by the KSEEB with distinction. She is presently working as a Senior Research Fellow under the guidance of Dr. S.N. Susheela at the Dept. of Performing Arts, Bangalore University.
Sneha Venkataramani Krishna
Sneha Venkataramani Krishna, a accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer received training under Guru, Padma Shri Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan, in Delhi.
She completed her Arangetram in the year 1998. Sneha has been imparting dance education and training since 2001 and has been a faculty member at the Ganesa Natyalaya, New Delhi. She is presently a faculty member at the Indira Nagar Sangeetha Sabha and also runs her own Dance School in Bengaluru.
Satya Prakash Sahoo
Satya Prakash Sahoo, Odissi artiste, has completed Sangeet Bhaskar from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, and has been learning and practicing Odissi dance form for last 10 years under the guidance of Guru Sonali Mohapatra.
