Mysuru: Articulate Festival, coordinated by Mysore B. Nagaraj, will be held on 3rd Sunday of every Month, in the royal city of Mysuru.
Accomplished Indian Classical dancers both from India and abroad take part in this festival. On Sunday, the 19th of August, in its 27th series, artistes are scheduled to perform in Odissi, Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam starting at 6 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavana (Ganabharathi), Kuvempunagar. Entry is free. This series presents four solo performances, Bharatanatyam by Vincent Paul and Pradhyumna, Odissi by Sahana Maiya and Kuchipudi by Rakhi Kamani.
Artistes’ Profile
Vincent Paul, currently being trained by Dr. Sarada Natarajan and Rupa Hemanth of Ramana Maharishi Centre for Learning, Bengaluru, is a graded artiste of Doordarshan, pursuing Masters in Fine Arts at SASTRA University, and runs his own Dance School Sphurana Nrithya Kala Kendra in Bengaluru.
Pradhyumna, a senior disciple of Vid. P.B. Janardhan of Natyataranga, Sagara, Karnataka, having completed his Senior exam under Karnataka Secondary Education Board, is a recipient of several awards.
Sahana R. Maiya is one of the senior member of the Nrityantar Odissi Ensemble, who having been trained in the art by Guru Madhulita Mohapatra, currently conducts her own Odissi classes in Bengaluru.
Rakhi Kamani, trained in Kuchipudi at Tharang Institute of Classical Dance and Mithilaya Dance Academy in Kerala, is currently trained by Deepa Narayanan Sashidharan in Bengaluru.
