Mysore/Mysuru: Women achievers from different fields – Vidushi Pavani Bharadwaj of Akashavani, Bengaluru and Varsha Srikantaswamy, Proprietor of Akruti Eco-friendly enterprises, Ummathur in Chamarajanagar district, were felicitated in the presence of Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji at a programme organised for the inauguration of Chamarajeshwari Akkana Balaga, at Navajyothi auditorium in JSS Women’s College premises, Saraswathipuram, here recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Advocate and woman activist Sumana regretted that women have to fight for their political, social, academic and financial freedom even in the fast changing twenty first century.

Observing that it is delightful to note that women have been forming organisations to carry out social service as an effort to make women self-reliant, Sumana said women empowerment is key for the growth of women in all fronts.

Pointing out that the Suttur Mutt has been identifying and honouring  achiever women, Sumana said she had a word of advise for the office-bearers of the newly formed Chamarajeshwari Akkana Balaga and gave some tips to them on addressing women issues and coming to their help.

Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji graced the occasion. Sharana Sahitya Parishat City Unit President M.G.
