Clinic functions on every Saturday between 2 pm and 5 pm
Mysuru/Mysore: Concerns related to LGBTQ population is an unheard voice in the healthcare system. After the Supreme Court of India decriminalised the homosexuality by declaring Section 377 of IPC as unconstitutional, it is time to think beyond just rights of this community.
One such initiative was recently undertaken by Dr. S.N. Mothi and K.S. Gururaja, Trustees, Asha Kirana Hospital, Hebbal, Mysuru, by inaugurating a LGBTQ Clinic at the Hospital in city. The clinic functions specifically for LGBTQs on every Saturday between 2 pm and 5 pm.
LGBTQ is an acronym for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer community.

Hospital ART Centre, Dr. VHT Swamy, Asha Kirana Hospital, Pranati Prakash, State Co-ordinator, Ashodaya Samithi, Apsara, Community President, Akram, Director, Ashodaya Samithi, Nisha and Madhura, Dr. L.N. Shenoy, Director, AYUSH Research Centre were present during the inaugural event.
